The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, is one of the world’s great botanical gardens. The flora and fauna of the Cape Floral Kingdom are unique and are best enjoyed by a visit to Kirstenbosch. Within the gardens you can see a tree canopy walkway which provides a fantastic view of the forest below and of Table Mountain above.
On warms Sunday evenings in Summer, the gardens play host to the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts. Enjoy live music and great views of Table Mountain while relaxing with a picnic on the lawns of Kirstenbosch. A perfect way to end a weekend in Cape Town.
The Kirstenbosch estate can be explored via one of the five signposted trails. The trails are well maintained and offer differing levels of difficulty.
