Chapman’s Peak is named after John Chapman, the pilot of an English ship called the Consent. John Chapman rowed ashore in 1607 in search of provisions. Construction of the drive began in 1915. At the time of its completion, Chapman’s Peak Drive was considered to be a feat of engineering.
We will collect you from your hotel at the start of the jewellery shopping tour and drop you off back at the hotel at the end of the tour.
The price for a longer tour is from R1 600 – the longer tour is return trip to Simon’s Town passing covering the full length of Chapman’s Peak Drive. The shorter tour is a return trip along the full length of Chapman’s Peak drive and is available from R1 250. We accept South African rand and all major currencies (including EUR, GBP, USD). There are no deposits, advanced payments or booking fees required – simply pay the driver at the end of the tour.
